Created in januari 2025, "Filmproductions in Thailand" was created to offer comprehensive local services and facilities for film production. We are the result of a strategic partnership between two experienced international executive producers, and Harry Klunder.
Both of us specialize in supporting international film and broadcast companies as they bring their projects to life abroad. Thailand

Cash Rebates: In 2017, Thailand introduced a 15-20% cash rebate incentive, making it an even more attractive destination for film productions in Southeast Asia. The country boasts diverse landscapes, from the mountainous regions in the north to the fertile plains and rice fields of central and southern Thailand. The southern peninsula's coastline and islands have been featured in numerous films, including The Beach, filmed at Ko Phi Phi Leh, and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, shot in Phuket.
Last year (2024) Disney chose to film the whole of its new Alien TV series in Thailand as did Netflix for the popular White Lotus Season 3.

UPDATE 27 December 2024: (Cash rebate up to 30%)
The Thailand Film Office (TFO) announced the update of Film Incentives.*
1. Obtain filming permission from the film, Video and Digital Media Committee
2. Local spending of more than 50 million baht (approximately $1.3 million US) to Thai crew and company.
Climate: Thailand has a tropical climate with consistently high temperatures throughout the year, peaking around 30°C in April and May. The summer months through October bring the monsoon season, characterized by heavy rains, which are especially intense in September. Approximately 90% of the country’s annual rainfall occurs during this period. January and February are typically the driest months, with a cooler north-east breeze from November to February helping to reduce humidity.
Entry Requirements: For those planning to bring equipment into Thailand, utilizing the ATA carnet system is highly recommended. The ATA carnet, also known as the merchandise passport, is an internationally recognized customs document that allows goods to enter foreign markets free of duties and taxes. Thailand is a member of the ATA carnet system, which is accepted in 85 countries and territories.
